The rookie male idol group B1A4, who's having their debut soon, is heating up the community.
For the first time in the country's history, a group is promoting through a web-toon. They weren't the members' real pictures but they were shown as "characters in a manhwa". Netizens are discussing over the pro and the cons about them.
A netizen explained the meaning of the group's name from "5 conversations" on an online community board saying it was "1 B type member and 4 A type members", he left a post analyzing the web-toon and said that there was 1 B type member and 4 A type members.
Seeing this post, a big part of the netizens commented, "That's really crazy" "What if there was an O type? It would be AB0?" "How can you make a group's name like this?" and reactions like: "Is there really something like this in the web-toon? I need to read it again" "It's really new and unusual" "I'm really expecting it, will they become a special idol like their name?", showing directly-opposed responses but the fact is that they attracted everyone's attention.
Moreover, since they didn't release the members' real image, netizens said "They're not real persons, they're cyber-singers" and "Adding all the characters from the manhwa Shinwoo, Gongchan, Sandeul, Jinyoung, Baro and the girl character, it's a mixed-gender 6 membered group" about B1A4 only by reading the web-toon. Various theories spread about B1A4 profiles and curiousity is growing about them.
The company stated: "In the web-toon, a lot of funny things about B1A4 are hidden" and "Even in the company, phone calls came asking about it, next week the member's profile will be revealed, look forward to it".
With the rookie group's unusual promotion and the different marketing, it makes our expectations grow about B1A4's next move.
